Congratulations to all of the members of School Lane Student Council for the 2023-2024 school year! The students just participated in the initiation ceremony where they pledged to uphold the commitments and be active, engaged citizens of the school through their roles as homeroom representatives or executive office positions. We are so proud of them and look forward to an awesome school year!

They learned what energy is, the uses of energy, how energy is wasted, and how we can conserve energy. Students in grades 4-6 attended an assembly this morning with Mr. Sanfrancesco, an educator and technology expert. They discussed the appropriate use of social media, group chats and apps, considering the 3 F's (Friends, Family, & Future) before posting online, and thinking about their digital footprint. The students were engaged and had great questions. Please join us this evening to learn more about these topics from an adult perspective from 6-7pm in the elementary cafeteria.

25 year ago today School Lane Charter School welcomed 450 students in Grades K-6 making it the first charter school in Bucks County and the first suburban K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania. 25 years later, we've grown to a K-12 school with an enrollment of nearly 1400 students across two campuses and have been designated as an IB World School. We are grateful to the thousands of families who have chosen to partner with us to provide an education for your child. We are also grateful to the hundreds of staff members- past and present- who have worked tirelessly to uphold the mission and vision of our school. Finally, we are grateful for our students and alumni who are working every day to make a difference in the world guided by the knowledge, experiences, and values instilled in them during their time as School Lane students... our future is bright because of you!

1 Day Until Students Return! Mrs. Schade is entering her 21st year as the CEO of School Lane Charter School- a tenure that is almost unmatched by other charter leaders and superintendents across Pennsylvania! Under her leadership School Lane has expanded from a K-8 school of 450 students to a K-12 organization with nearly 1400 students. She oversaw multiple expansions of our Elementary Campus and the launch of our IB Campus as well as our partnership with the International Baccalaureate Organization. Through it all, she has remained steadfast in implementing our school’s mission to provide a sanctuary for our students. We had a blast with our summer countdown and highlighting the important work of our School Lane staff. We look forward to welcoming our students back to our buildings tomorrow because we wouldn’t be here without them. Please continue to like, follow, and share our social media posts as we shift the focus of these pages back to our students this week!

2 Days Until Student Return! Mr. Robinson is entering his seventh year as the Elementary Campus Principal and his ninth year as part of the School Lane community. He knows it is hard work to run a school, so that is why he has enlisted the help of five other Mr. Robinsons this year! While he routinely makes it seem he is able to do the work of five or six people, there is only one Mr. Robinson and we’re lucky to have him leading the way at our Elementary Campus!

3 Days Until Students Return! Mrs. Weber is entering her second year as the IB Campus Principal. She has spent the last week working through professional development sessions with the IB staff to prepare for the 2023-2024 school year. As part of the week’s events, the staff worked together on a service activity to prepare lunches to donate to a local food bank. Community service is a hallmark of the IB program and is required of all of our MYP students. We felt it was important to take time to model service as a staff to kick off the new school year.

4 Days Until Students Return! Mrs. Bellavance-West, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Wallover are the longest tenured teachers at our Elementary Campus each spending upwards of 20 years at School Lane! They have spent most of their careers working in Kindergarten through Grade 2, which means they have had a hand in establishing the educational foundation for hundreds of students that have passed through our doors. Some of those former students have returned to teach alongside Mrs. Bellavance-West, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Wallover, while others are now parents of some of their current students! We thank them for their continued service to the School Lane community and hope you'll join us in wishing them a successful 2023-24 school year!

5 Days Until Students Return! Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Belford are the longest-tenured teachers at the IB Campus. In fact, they were a part of the School Lane community before the IB Campus even existed! When our middle school moved to it's current homea few years ago, Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Belford were some of the faculty members that helped to bring the mission, vision, and core values that had been established at our K-8 site on Bristol Pike over to our new site on Tillman Drive. We thank them for their continued service to the School Lane community and hope you'll join us in wishing them a successful 2023-24 school year!
